Mount Rainier

This picture was shot by me in May 2018 during a sightseeing cruise on Elliott Bay and Puget Sound next to the city of Seattle, Washington State. The mountain you see is Mount Rainier and is roughly 70(!) miles away from downtown Seattle. My wife and I were awestruck by its enormity. Later that vacation we went up the mountain from the town of Ashford. Shout out to the folks at Mountain Meadows Inn Bed & Breakfast for their hospitality. It was a wonderful vacation starting in Seattle and visiting a.o. Olympic National Park, Rialto and Ruby Beach, Mount St. Helens National Monument, Portland, Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood National Forest, Bend, Deschutes National Forest, Lava Butte, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Boise, Twin Falls, Craters Of The Moon National Monument & Preserve, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Helena, Glacier National Park, into Canada through Banff National Park, Jasper National Park via Kamloops to Vancouver and back to Mount Rainier and eventually Seattle again. Incredible highs…
